Opening Address: The 20th Anniversary of Jornen

Opening Address: The 20th Anniversary of Jornen
Delivered by Jack Yang, General Manager

Today, we gather to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jornen Enterprise.

While Jornen was formally established in 1989, our engineering roots trace back to 1985. During the early stages of China’s industrial reform, advanced blister packaging technology was effectively monopolized by European imports, with prohibitive costs severely restricting its application within the domestic pharmaceutical sector. Recognizing this critical industry gap, our founder committed to the independent research and development of indigenous blister packaging machinery. Overcoming a complete lack of reference data and technical precedents, he relied on self-taught mechanical expertise and sheer perseverance to engineer a localized solution.

Today, when reflecting on this journey, he often attributes the company’s success to the historic opportunities of the era. However, it was his precise execution and engineering vision that capitalized on those opportunities.

Over the past two decades, Jornen’s contributions to the pharmaceutical equipment industry can be summarized in two pivotal aspects:

First, the Industrialization of Blister Packaging.
Jornen successfully pioneered and industrialized the plate-type Blister Packaging Machine in China. This technical breakthrough dramatically reduced equipment acquisition costs, directly accelerating the widespread adoption of modern blister packaging processes across the domestic pharmaceutical industry.

Second, Catalyzing Regional Manufacturing Expertise.
Over the past 20 years, Jornen has continuously nurtured engineering and manufacturing talent, playing a fundamental role in establishing Rui’an as China’s largest pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing hub. It is undeniable that without the practical, cost-effective machinery developed by this regional base—including blister packers, cartoners, and capsule fillers—the timeline for National GMP compliance in solid dosage manufacturing would have been delayed by at least a decade due to prohibitive capital costs.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Yang Yijun, the Founder and President of Jornen, to deliver his address.
